With an impressive 45+ years of experience in Ayurvedic practice and treatment, Vaidya Madhu is deeply committed to the study, research, and application of this ancient healing science. He dedicates his time to treating patients from around the globe, ensuring that the rich tradition of Ayurveda continues to benefit people worldwide. He is a true ‘Vaidya’, a passionate practitioner of Ayurvedic medicine.

In addition to his clinical work, Vaidya Madhu is also a passionate educator, striving to disseminate Ayurvedic knowledge through teaching, training programs, and seminars. His efforts extend to nurturing the next generation of practitioners and enthusiasts, ensuring that the wisdom of Ayurveda remains vibrant and accessible.

Vaidya Madhu’s contributions to the Ayurvedic community are further exemplified in his role as the current chairman of the Nepal Traditional Ayurvedic Medical Practitioner’s Association. His leadership in this position reflects his commitment to preserving and advancing Ayurveda in Nepal and beyond, solidifying his status as a respected figure in the realm of traditional medicine.

Vaidya Mana Bajra Bajracharya, affectionately known as Dr. Mana by his numerous Western patients, was a distinguished Ayurvedic physician who acquired his profound knowledge of Ayurveda through an esteemed family lineage. He was mentored in this ancient medical science by his father Durga Bajra, his mother Tirtha Kumari, and his grandfather Nila Bajra. These venerable figures in Nepalese Ayurveda were themselves educated in the discipline by their parents and grandparents, perpetuating a rich, 700-year family legacy in Ayurvedic medicine. Unfortunately, Dr. Mana passed away in the year 2001.

The family’s medical expertise has been continually honed and passed down through a traditional one-to-one teaching methodology, anchored in the study of classical Ayurvedic texts in their original Sanskrit. This approach has been enriched by an extensive accumulation of knowledge and practical experience over seven centuries. Vaidya Mana himself dedicated 40 years to the practice of Ayurveda, contributing significantly to the field and maintaining the esteemed reputation of his family in the realm of traditional healing.

Dr. Mana’s status and reputation as an Ayurvedic healer are quite renowned for his impressive ability to cure illnesses when all other treatments have failed, which was extremely difficult to explain since his approach cannot be classed within the paradigms of medical science.

He had not only taken care of the people, he was a student and a teacher. He used to study every morning for hours and try to find out new facts about Ayurveda. He used to study the olden books of Ayurveda and make notes of them. He had published many books as a result of his study and there were many lots of books to be published.

Not only he was an Ayurvedic physician, he was also a Buddhist priest who, through his profession, implemented the Buddhist ideals of compassion, loving, and kindness and relieving human suffering wherever possible.

He had a profound understanding of human nature, and a thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, Buddhist philosophy, and Ayurvedic medicine.

He was also a teacher. He loves teaching about Ayurveda. He sometimes takes classes on Ayurveda and its treatment. He forgets himself while teaching about Ayurveda and teaches for hours.

Besides, the Ayurvedic field his hobbies are drawing and painting. He used to capture nature in his paintings. In his books, all the figures were drawn by Vaidya Mana Bajra Bajracharya himself.

Dr. Mana Bajra Bajracharya played a pivotal role in upholding the traditions of Ayurveda amidst a world rapidly advancing in scientific discoveries. His steadfast commitment to this ancient form of healing underscores the enduring value and relevance of Ayurvedic practices. Vaidya Mana diligently continued these traditions within his own domain, ensuring the highest standards of care and authenticity. He personally inspected all raw materials and medicines, a testament to his dedication to providing genuine Ayurvedic treatment. His efforts not only preserved but also enhanced the legacy of Ayurveda, demonstrating its significant place in the contemporary landscape of holistic health care.
