Vaidya Mana Bajra Bajracharya
Vaidya
(meaning Ayurvedic physician, Doctor) Mana Bajra Bajracharya, or Dr.
Mana as he was more affectionately called by the great numbers
of western patients, he had cured, studied Ayurveda from his
father Durga Bajra, mother Tirtha Kumari and grandfather Nila
Bajra. They were well known Ayurvedic physicians of Nepal
who, in their turn, studied under their own parents and grandparents,
and so on back through the generations over seven hundred
years of history. Their medical knowledge has always been
based on the traditional system of one teacher education using
the traditional Ayurvedic texts in their original Sanskrit
version supplemented by the wealth of knowledge and experience
accumulated by the family over these last seven centuries.
Vaidya Mana himself had worked in this Ayurvedic field for
last 40 years.
Dr. Mana's status and reputation as an Ayurvedic healer are
quite renowned with his impressive ability to cure illnesses
when all other treatments have failed, which was extremely
difficult to explain since his approach cannot be classed
within the paradigms of medical science.
He had
not only take care of the people, he was a student and a teacher.
He use to study every morning for hours and try to find out
new facts of Ayurveda. He used to study the olden books of
Ayurveda and make notes of them. He had published many books
as a result of his study and there many lots of books to be
published.
Not only he was an Ayurvedic physician, he was also a Buddhist
priest who, through his profession, implements the Buddhist
ideals of compassion, loving, kindness and relieves human
suffering wherever possible.
He had a profound understanding of human nature, and thorough
knowledge of anatomy, physiology, Buddhist philosophy and
Ayurvedic medicine.
He was
also a teacher. He love teaching about Ayurveda. He sometimes
take classes on Ayurveda and its treatment. He forgets himself
while teaching about Ayurveda and teaches for hours.
Beside, Ayurvedic field his hobbies are drawing and paintings.
He used to capture nature by his paintings. In his books,
all the figures were drawn by Vaidya Mana Bajra Bajracharya
himself.
He was keeping up the Ayurvedic field. Even though there
are many scientific discoveries in this world, but there is
a great value of Ayurveda (an ancient treatment). Vaidya Mana
was continuied this Ayurvedic field in his own territory.
He used to check all the raw materials and medicines by himself.
Now, all the medicines were made under his son's supervision.
His
son Mr. Madhu Bajra Bajracharya is now continuing the same
Ayurvedic field after Vaidya Mana's death, in this work. Studying
and preparing medicines checking the patients of different
nationality make their family members busy whole day.
He help in modernizing this Ayurvedic field. For the forgein
